Abstract: | This paper examines the influence of the institutional setting on knowledge brokering work in legislatures. We argue that legislative brokers face three specific challenges: heightened legitimacy requirements for the brokered knowledge, the need to cater for a wide range of topics and different audiences, and the need to compete with other suppliers of research. Based on the in-depth interpretive case study of the UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, we develop a functional framework for productive in-house legislative knowledge brokering. We argue that in order to survive and strive in the challenging legislative science advisory ecosystems, knowledge brokers need to develop a broader range of competencies than brokers in government do, in particular, the ability to organise for impact of their work. This paper contributes to the view of knowledge brokering as the involved, strategic, context-dependent activity and offers lessons for practitioners to improve research utilization in legislatures. |

Abstract: | The specific problem is that knowledge workers experience high levels of stress and burnout in their professional lives, a trend that increased due to the transition to remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. This integrative literature review addresses this problem by answering the following research questions: (1) How can working in the post-lockdown era allow greater well-being, job satisfaction, and job security to abide?; and (2) How can mental capital be increased in the 21st century to ensure maximum health and positive well-being in the future employment arena and on a global scale? This review contributes to the literature on worker health and wellbeing, hybrid work arrangements, and knowledge workers’ professional experiences. The findings suggest that knowledge workers can only thrive in a hybrid work environment if organizations take an empathetic approach to manage these workers and give them sufficient autonomy and flexibility in determining their work conditions, in addition to ample opportunities for social interaction and professional advancement. |

Abstract: | Revolusi Industri 4.0 atau yang sering disebut dengan cyber physical system merupakan revolusi yang menitikberatkan pada otomatisasi serta kolaborasi antara teknologi saber. Revolusi 4.0 ini sendiri muncul di abad ke-21 dengan ciri utama yang ada adalah penggabungan antara informasi serta teknologi komunikasi ke dalam bidang industri. Dengan kemunculan revolusi ini, mengubah banyak hal di berbagai sektor. Dimana yang pada awalnya membutuhkan banyak pekerja untuk menjalankan operasionalnya, sekarang digantikan dengan penggunaan mesin teknologi (Andrew, 2022). |
